How Trophies Work
🏆 Trophies record the rewards you have earned while playing. You have one trophy total for your account, combining trophies from all game formats.
One total across all your games
Trophies earned in Noughts and Crosses, Four in a Row, Five in a Row and your custom formats all contribute to the same total. Open Trophies in the top menu to compare totals with other players. Your row is highlighted, and higher totals appear first.
Earning trophies against an AI
A win normally earns one trophy and one credit for each AI level: beating Level 4 earns four of each. A draw normally earns half the AI level, rounded down: drawing against Level 5 earns two of each. A loss earns neither.
Daily AI reward limits
The game counts trophies earned that day across all formats and opponents. Once your total is more than 50, AI rewards are limited to three trophies and three credits per game; above 75, the limit is two of each; above 100, it is one of each. These are maximums: a lower normal reward stays lower. The same limits apply to AI draws, so a draw cannot earn more than a win. The daily count resets at midnight UK time. Rewards against online human opponents are not reduced by these limits.
Playing another person
Against a different account online, a win earns trophies and credits equal to the number of pieces needed to win. For example, Four in a Row earns four of each. A draw earns half that number, rounded down, and a loss earns one of each. An online win also has a 10% chance of ten bonus credits; this does not add trophies.
Two people sharing one device can earn the signed-in account one trophy and one credit for its first eligible local human win each day. Further local human wins that day, local draws and resignations do not earn this reward. Playing your own account online earns no trophies or credits. AI training and AI-versus-AI games earn no player rewards.
Trophies, credits and skill are different
You must be logged in to earn account rewards. Spending credits does not reduce your trophies. Buying credits, free-credit claims and welcome or daily credit gifts do not add trophies. Your trophy total is separate from your skill rating, which measures results against opponents in each particular format.
